I’m Chase Alan. I am a singer, songwriter, and self-taught producer! Born in Detroit, I’ve been singing my whole life. Quite literally born into it as my Nana is the legendary Gospel Artist, also  7x Grammy-nominated, “Vanessa Bell Armstrong”. I’ve grown up surrounded and having a deep love and ear for music. I’ve always been grateful for how it has shaped my life. During the year 2020, it was really when I was able to lock in and begin writing and producing my own music, because what else was there to do! While it was certainly one of my most lonely and challenging years so far, I found strength and passion in creating my own music. So I began recording and learning how to stack my own vocals. Watching YouTube videos, searching, asking Google, and  I used the GarageBand app that had been sitting on my iPhone for free, unused for many years. Quickly discovering how easy it was to create without having much of the big, expensive professional equipment yet. Of course, I ended up buying the expensive equipment and learned how to use that as well with the help of some local Detroit producers who taught me about frequencies and listening to the tiny things in a record that make the record. Fast forward some showcases, 2 EP’s bringing us to a competition with the Motown Museum. I placed 3rd in. I currently work with the Motown Museum. I underwent their artistic development program led by Tristan Fischer. Teaching me the beauty of performance and strengthening my live vocals with vocal coaches Antea Birchett and Deanna Johnson. That opened up the door for me to be featured and perform solo for the largest crowd I have performed for. At the 2024 Detroit NFL draft, according to news articles, there were around 275,000 attendees, breaking the previous year’s record. Which still feels sort of unreal typing about it, but I’m so grateful. I just recently released some new songs this year, 2025,  and a new project on all streaming platforms titled “The Art of Letting Go” last year and releasing an extended version of the Ep soon.
